  1. Here's something that might……might…..make you all feel a little better about the WC final being in my old stomping ground of NJ. As a wee child, I got to watch the greatest soccer player of all time play there for the now defunct NY Cosmos (was really hoping they'd make a comeback a few years ago but the owner was mad with power in trying also to bring back the NASL as well….anyway). I, of course, speak of Shep Messing- just kidding- PELE!!!! He won three World Cups for the record. I also was at his last game when he played the first half for the Cosmos and the 2nd half for Santos…a beautiful moment to say the least. So when that inevitable morose thought of the NJ swamp begins to make its way to the surface just think of Pele scoring a hat trick against…..I dunno….the Rowdies, yeah the Rowdies and you'll much better!

  2. Dont disagree about the whole puli perfomance but you left out his one key play where his through ball set the calabria cross for the opening goal. Great ball chipped through 2 defenders

  3. Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack!

  4. There was supposed to be a glorious 75,000-85,000 capacity stadium with retractable roof on top of the West Side Yard in Manhattan. Politics destroyed it. It makes my blood boil when i think about it. It would have been a dream stadium for the 2026 World Cup Final. A stadium at the other end of the 7 line in Queens would still be much better than East Rutherford, but the red tape of NYC politics is even swampier than the meadowlands
