Spain won EURO 2008 13 years ago. In this video we look back at their journey to the victory. EURO 2008 was the start of Spain their worldwide dominance in football. It was the beginning of their great playing style with the likes of Iniesta, Xavi and some other world class players. Spain had to fight though to win this tournament. They even were almost knock oud but won in a penalty series.

  2. Man, I miss those days when national teams were stacked with legendary players, who could've led entire generations by themselves if they hadn't had the bad luck of playing in the same era as the all-time greats (Messi, CR7, R9, Ronaldinho etc.).
    Seriously, look how brutally stacked Spain was at that time (same with a few other teams). Nowadays, national teams don't havd the same feel anymore. Yes, there are still high-quality players, but only very few I'd call "legends of tomorrow". Everything has become systematical and sterile, nobody really stands out anymore except for a few. Only just a decade ago, you still could easily recognize players based on their individual skill and moments of brilliance. Now, almost everybody plays the same, you might as well just do a palette swap.
    We can barely get highlight videos out of modern players because they've become system players, who aren't allowed to have individual moments of brilliance anymore (unless they wanna piss off their coach, e.g. KDB and Pep).

  17. David Villa missed the final because of injury but still ended up being the tournaments top scorer. he was joint top scorer at the 2010 world cup but was beaten by thomas muller because he had more assist.
