22. This is a massive oversimplification.

    The Catalan referendum was illegal, not because the Spanish government said it was "impossible" but because they didn't wanted to get through a country referendum regarding the change 9f the constitution allowing independence referendums tat was offered but later rejected. The participation was only of a 30%.

    After the referendum the region of Barcelona and Tarragona that are mostly not independent created a movement to get Barcelona and Tarragona out of Catalonia creating their own region. This was as a consequence of the difficulty to live in Catalonia not being independentist as the bilingual rights among others was not respected. Let me repeat WE IN BARCELONA DO NOT SUPPORT INDEPENDENCE.

37. And this is why those from outside of Spain who claim to 'love' Real Madrid have nothing but contempt from me, as that's akin to saying you prefer facism to freedom.

38. If La Liga did expel Barcelona and potentially other Catalan clubs, then I'm sure they'd be accepted into Live 1. A brand as big as Barcelona wouldn't be turned down and wouldn't be any harder to play in than La Liga. Maybe easier as Ligue 1 already have a club from outside France (Monaco) playing there. So all the different taxation rules, etc are things they're already used to dealing with.

    It's obviously not ideal for the club but if it were to happen, I could see Ligue 1 jump at the chance.

39. Also, don't forget that Johan his son was born in the Netherlands. He gave him the Catalan name Jordi as a hidden protest ( a name which was forbidden in Spain but also common in the Netherlands). Also he was not just the coach for the Catalan national team, he also played for them in 1976.
