The sad thing is we Nigerians know this is all about corruption. And we just don't know how to fight this. I blame the media a lot in this. They are the ones who should make this public and drum the beat until the Govt takes action. But they sock up to NFF also and are complicit in this. This is a disgrace. A really big one.

  2. Coach Waldrum, thanks for barring your mind and providing this insight into the NFF. The NFF with the way it is run now can only guarantee a decline in our football. Everyone has to plan to achieve an objective. What the NFF has done shows poor planning. I wonder what they plan to achieve through all the difficulty they are creating around our team. I wish the team success. They should play for Nigeria.

  3. This NFF members have killed our game. If any coach did not dance to their music they make him an enemy. When the NFF did not support caoch and he failed the next thing is to sack him. Let us ask our Nigeria coaches, if they will tell the truth, they have alot to disclose. If you ask Olise he has alot to say. Let EFCC AND DSS enter into NFF acount, they will fish out alot. Nigerians we need to fight the NFF to a stand still instead of fighting the coaches. When a coach never gets good support from NFF how do you expect him to perform. God will expose those that put this country into a stand still. Rev Felix.

  4. This NFF is the problem we have in our football system. I want President Tinubu to go deep in NFF and root out the bad eggs there. Rev Felix

  5. I bet you the NFF also got funding from the sports ministry. This is all about corruption. The best thing that happened to us is getting an American coach. Europeans and Nigerians will play ball with NFF. It's more difficult for them to be as bad with Super Eagles because many influential Nigerians follow the team closely. Eventually this nonsense will cease. Thanks for your uprightness and courage. May God reward you.

  6. Nigerians love to immitate fans of their favorite european clubs thats why they critisize managers and players but what they fail to realise is that unlike us, those fans have the right to be critical we dont

  7. In every work in life if you are not satisfied you quit, stop instigating your employers, to authority, or to the world at Large, if you are not satisfied go to FIFA all is you people father, complain to him let him weather ever period, resign if you are not satisfied, period

  8. Dear Randy Waldrum, it is unfortunate to hear about the challenges you have been through with the Nigerian Football Federation. Hopefully, they sit up and do the needful. I hope the girls make you proud at the world cup.

    Suggestions:
Learning the culture of the people and carefully navigating through it as a coach is very important for the success of any national team. It appears this is the first national team you are coaching outside America and you are not exposed to cross-cultural diplomacy and relationships. America is America and Nigeria is Nigeria. Comparing Nigeria side by side with the US system might not be too helpful and could leave you more frustrated.

Your ability to excel outside your comfort zone is what makes you exceptional. We want to see you excel in managing a team outside the USA.

While I salute your courage in pointing out the flaws of the NFF, it is also good you look inward and think about the areas you would have done better as a coach. For example:
    -Reading the games
    -Knowing when to make changes
    -Making the right changes
-And playing the right players in the right position.

Would love to see an improved technical and tactical ability at the world cup. Thank you.

  9. This is just too much to take, NFF deliberately want to frustrate Randy. They don't even care about the emotions of over 200 millions Nigerians. Self centered and heartless set of people

  10. Hey coach Randy, just wanna say thank you for your honest opinion. Trust me, we understand what you and your players are going through. The disappointments and frustrations of dealing with a bunch of corrupt and incompetent officials. Unfortunately this is what Nigeria has become, the most corrupt nation and the poverty capital of the world.
You mentioned $960k…billions of dollars go missing everyday in that country without a trace, and the west including the US is in on the loot. This is why the look the other way and no one in the international community is talking.
Don't be afraid to let it all out, we love and support you.
