Einstine was a genius of his time yet he didn't believe in physically real black holes or quantum entanglement. Neil Bohr won that argument. Just bescue some is called a genius of his time by others is no flex ? on the true student of knowledge searching for al-Haq. Secondly, if others (old scholars) get impressed by someone (al-Qasemi) doesn't make that a gold standard for to also think he was very intelligent. So be cautious of always referring to old time Ullemah as some sort of limits of awe such that if they got impressed we should also automatically be impressed. No! Just give us their statements with evidences and references and we will decide how impressive al-Qasemi really was.

This psychological abuse can really drive people out of Islam especially if you couple it with incentives from kuffar to do so. This is the tactic western ngo, churches, etc use (rightly so) to help the people being abused by so-called Muslim government.
