I believe that Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim are the outstanding coaching prospects to replace Jurgen Klopp but I think in some ways, Amorim suits Liverpool long term, more than Alonso for a few reasons. That is not to say that I discount Alonso who is my favorite Liverpool player and who would be my 1st choice as the next Liverpool manager to replace Klopp, but I would certainly be very happy with Ruben Amorim!

I don't think he fits a lot of Liverpool at all. seems like some of our best and most important players wouldn't be used that well

Interesting and well thought out. We really do have good depth in the squad. A couple of players may leave and we will hopefully bring in a player or two. Don’t forget Elliott and Jones.
I’ve been leaning toward Amorim for the last 4-5 weeks! The more I’ve looked into him the more impressed I am by him! The player development is insane! The style of play isn’t a million miles off from what this team has been used to under jurgen. And if you listen to the experts in Portugal his character and relationship with his players is similar to jurgens! I love Xabi he is in my top 3 Liverpool midfielders of all time along with souness and gerrard! And the job he is doing out in Germany is incredible! But I feel the sample size is still to small? I genuinely mean this when I say that I hope Xabi is the real deal and if he never manages us then I wish him all the success in the world! Whether it be with Bayern or Real Madrid? I love the guy! But I feel Amorim is ahead of him in terms of progression. He’s the one for me.

as soon as Amorin was announced as a candidate I did a thorough research on him and he does seem like the perfect fit, Alonso would have to change quite a bit from his Leverkusen set up and way of play, whilst Amorim almost looks like a Klopp 2.0 while arguably being better when it comes to possession, I feel like Liverpool have looked dodgy in possession during Klopp's era which cost them at times and if Amorim can improve that then Liverpool can keep fighting for the top regularly, got a great variety of players now, great mixture, so there is no reason why this shouldnt work out

Both Xabi and Amorim like to play with 3 at the back and so much talk has been about how we do not have a squad that fits that formation. This video clearly debunks that "myth" and genuinely shows the depth and quality we have to successfully transition and adopt to the new playing style. Super excited about the possibilities Amorim would bring if he's the one. Top notch video btw.

I’d love for Xabi to come to Liverpool after Madrid. It would be amazing for him to learn and accomplish his aspirations in Spain and then come to Liverpool, perhaps in 10 years after the Amorim dynasty (hopefully).
