WFAA streamed live reaction and analysis to the 2026 FIFA World Cup match announcement on Feb. 4, 2024.

AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host a semi-final match, a round of 16 match, two round of 32 matches, and five group stage matches, bringing its total to nine matches — the most of any site in the tournament.

The official announcement from FIFA came on Feb. 4, 2024, after the organization took several visits around the US, including site visits to Jerry World in August 2022, March 2023 and September 2023.

  1. You've made a few mistakes here.

    None of the stadiums from 1994 are being used in 2026. MetLife and Gillette Stadium were not even built until this century. In 1994 NY/NJ used the old Giants Stadium in Meadowlands which was demolished when MetLife was built, and Boston used Foxboro Stadium which closed over 20 years ago.

    Also Dallas has two games in the Last 32 and one in the Last 16. You repeatedly made the mistake of broadcasting there were two in the Last 16 and one in the quarter-final.
