Ali gold (no disrespect to him as I like his often common sense reporting during the season) isnt a real ITK on transfers, just because he says “what im hearing from the club" doesnt mean he has proper contacts in the club. It is repeatedly demonstrated that he doesn’t, outside of being an external media presence at our very scripted press confs.

    Since Paratici arrived Fabrizio Romano has very good info from the club, that much is clear.

    Gold is very much outside the club and just looks at what is in the news, tries to work out what is true, and pretends to be ITK on it but gets caught out all the time.

    Its no authority as to whether or not we go for maddison, as he swore we weren’t getting bale until he was wearing the shirt and swore we were getting bastoni.

    I liked Zaniolo 2 years ago (in the context of jose’s dull way of setting a team out) but then he got injured and has struggled since. Doesnt get on with Jose. Hasnt kicked on or probably even picked up where he left off, truth be told. A young player missing an entire year is usually a sign of things to come.

    Torres and Maddison is way better than zaniolo and bastoni.

11. I personally think Paqueta would be the perfect fit. He can play as a 10 or on the right in Kulusevski's position. Personally I think Lucas is finished but wants to see out his last year at Spurs as a professional, so we really need some stronger competition for Kulusevski to keep him hungry. Richarlison can effectively compete with Kane and Son, but we still need a player who can naturally slot in on the right to rotate/compete. Plus as a bonus, nicking Paqueta ahead of Arsenal would be satisfying.

17. I wish Levy had not sacked Jose prior to the League Cup final because I believe Spurs would have got that lack of trophy since 2008 monkey off their backs, if Jose had still been manager. He would have been good enough for a cup game and it was against City who only beat Spurs 1-0 anyways! Big, missed opportunity there and proves Levy more concerned about money than trophies. If Spurs had won that final be a lot less pressure on Conte now, to end Spurs trophy drought.

22. Leicester are screwed with tielemans having 1 year left and will go for free or at a low price this summer. Maddison will be in the same situation next summer. Leicester need to sell him now to get maximum
