Brazil recovered from their own goal, Mexico were actually beating them 3-0 until Perisic scored a very late constellation goal, and Portugal thrashed them 4-1 in the UEFA Nations League. Meanwhile in Russia, Croatia did the handling themselves against Argentina. A terrible mistake, a long shot, and some other goal that led to a win for Croatia, who thrashed then 3-0. Great job Argentina you even lost 3-0 to Brazil before the qualifiers.
